There are two committees in Hamilton that support the Best Start Network in their efforts to plan for French speaking children and their families. These are:
- Francophone Supervisors Network of Hamilton
- Regional French Language Network (RFLN) of Hamilton, Niagara, Haldimand-Norfolk and Brant
Francophone Supervisors Network (FSN) of Hamilton
The objective of the FSN of Hamilton is to exercise local leadership with the goal of advising and informing the local Best Start Network and the Regional French Language Best Start Network about the French-language services needs of Francophone children and their parents in the context of early learning and child development. To ensure that local plans are flexible and responsive to the particular priorities and needs of the Francophone population with regard to programs and services delivery.
Regional French Language Network (RFLN)
The objective of the RFLN is to engage regional representation in the planning of early years programs and services inspired by the priorities of Ontario’s Early Years Strategy Framework. The RFLN advises the local Best Start Networks of Hamilton, Niagara, Haldimand-Norfolk and Brant on issues/needs of francophone families in the context of early learning and child development and provides regional networking and training opportunities to French speaking early years professionals working in these communities.
